Full Circle Boys Are Bringing It Back!

Full Circle Boys
Full Circle Boys

Boy bands have been around since the inception of music; everyone from The Beatles, The Jackson 5 and The Osmonds to New Kids on the Block, *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys, then even more recently with acts like Jonas Brothers, One Direction and BTS, the hit-making singing & dancing formula continues with the latest fab five to enter into this global Pop phenom…

Please introduce for me the members of Full Circle Boys…

Full Circle has 5 members: Jagger, James, Sean, Dossan, and Oliver.

Tell me your whole inception into music -- When did you all first become interested in it? And, how did it all begin for Full Circle Boys?

Music has always played a significant role in our lives, especially since we all grew up in the dance industry. Our exposure to various genres naturally led us to pursue careers in music. With our shared backgrounds, we connected through different dance jobs, kept in touch over the years, and the formation of Full Circle Boys officially started in late 2020.

Now where do you all hail from? And growing up there, who all did / do you all consider to be your strongest musical influences?

Sean and James grew up in Southern California, while Jagger, Dossan, and Oliver grew up in Utah, where we all connected at our local dance studios. As a group, we draw significant inspiration from icons like Michael Jackson, *NSYNC, and Bruno Mars, shaping our musical style and performances.

Now from an individual standpoint, what do each of you bring to the table both personality-wise and creatively?

Jagger, the oldest member of Full Circle Boys, serves as the group's sage, often seen as the “dad” for his wise insights. James has a calming, nurturing spirit, giving him the title of “mom” thanks to his caring nature. Sean, the deep thinker, acts as the heartbeat of the group, always motivating everyone forward. Dossan brings his charisma, always down for a good time. Lastly, Oliver, the youngest member, brightens the mood with his youthful energy and enthusiasm.

In having said that, how do you all classify your overall sound and / or style?

Our sound is rooted in Pop, with hints of R&B, incorporating funky / intricate beats to dance to.

Where does the group’s moniker originally derive from?

The name "Full Circle Boys" originates from our deep connections within the dance industry. It shows how our journeys and experiences have come full circle, bringing us together as one.

Switching gears here…

What do you all want people to get from your music?

We aim to bring back the essence of entertainment, creating music that makes people happy and inspires them to dance.

If you all could collaborate with any one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

If we could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, it would be Michael Jackson. His innovative spirit, unmatched talent, and ability to connect with audiences are unmatched. Collaborating with him would not only be a dream come true, but also an opportunity to learn from the legend himself.

If you all could play any venue in the world, which one would you choose and why?

Coachella is definitely on our bucket list! We think we could put on an amazing show there. It’s such a legendary festival, and we’d love the chance to connect with fans and share our music with a diverse audience.

On a more serious note, are you all happy with the current state of music? And, even more specifically, why do you all feel that we, the masses, don’t see the group dynamic like it was back in, say, the nineties?

While we appreciate the current music scene for its innovation, we definitely do miss the strong group dynamics of the '90’s. Back then, boy bands had a significant cultural impact, with their harmonies and choreography. Today, the focus is more on solo artists, which we think can overshadow the collaborative work of that era. We believe there’s a craving for that sense of connection, and we're dedicated to bringing it back.

Do you all have any other outside / additional aspirations, maybe even completely away from music?

Yes, we do have aspirations beyond music! Each of us has interests in different fields; like dance, health, and even fashion. We believe that exploring these passions helps us grow as individuals and benefits our music. Balancing these interests keeps our creativity alive, and brings fresh perspectives to our work as a band.

To date, what has been your greatest career moment(s), at least thus far anyway?

We recently had the opportunity to perform in the UK for an international dance championship. It was unique because we got to go back to our roots with dance, and experience different cultures from people around the world. It was also our first performance as a group outside the U.S.

What’s an average day like for you all?

We typically have our mornings free to use as we wish, whether that’s going to the gym or taking care of personal matters. Around 1 or 2, we come together to focus on harmonies, rehearse for upcoming shows, and keep up with our social media by filming any content we need to share. We usually work until the end of the day, making the most of our time together.

Please discuss how you all interact with and respond to fans...

We love interacting with our fans and make it a priority to engage with them (on a) regular basis. Whether it’s through social media, live performances, or meet and greets, we really want to create meaningful connections. We respond to messages and comments, share behind the scenes content, and express our gratitude for their support. During shows, we try to connect and engage with our fans by encouraging them to sing along and participate. Ultimately, we want our fans to feel valued and part of our journey.

What is your favorite part about this line of work? Your least favorite? And, why?

Our favorite part about this line of work is the creativity and collaboration involved. Being able to express ourselves through music and dance, and sharing that with our fans, is incredibly fulfilling. We also love the energy of live performances and the connections we make with people. However, one of the more challenging aspects is the need for patience as we build everything from the ground up. This journey requires time and perseverance, but we know that every step is essential in shaping our path forward.

What advice would you all have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?

Our advice for anyone looking to follow in our footsteps is to stay dedicated and authentic to yourself. Focus on your craft and surround yourself with supportive people who push you to grow. Be prepared for challenges and setbacks, but don’t let them discourage you. Keep creating, keep an open mind, and remember that every experience contributes to your journey. Most importantly, make sure you are having fun!!!!!

Lastly, what’s next for Full Circle Boys?

We will definitely be doing more performances, but we’re also getting ready to collaborate with some of the top creatives in the industry for our upcoming projects, so stay tuned! ;)

Is there anything I left out, or just plain forgot to mention?
